The 14th Annual Popular Photography Photo Contest
Chosen works will be published in the January 2008 issue of Popular Photography
& Imaging, the largest photo magazine in the world, as well as on
the publication website. Panasonic and Circuit City offer a $7,500 grand
prize package. Open to work produced between September 2006 and September
2007. Entries should be 300 dpi, in .jpeg format. Entry fee is $10 per
image entered.

Olympus
Bioscapes Digital Imaging Competition
Entries must be life science digital images, depicting living subjects.
A light microscope must be used as part of the photographic process. Any
brand of microscope, camera, and/or imaging software may be used. Pseudo-coloring
and computer enhancement is acceptable. No more than five images can be
entered per person.

Art Buzz
The 2008 Collection
Open to artists, 18 and over, working in any visual media. Chosen entrants
will be featured in the first volume of Art Buzz, a quality full-color
coffee table book to be released in Fall 2007. Grand prize is multi-page
and cover exposure. Entry fee is $32.50 for three .jpegs, slides, or prints.
$5 per additional entry.

Px3: Prix de la Photographie Paris
The Human Condition
This one-time only competition will focus on humanity, and the staggering
amount of ways in which people live around the world. Juried by a group
of magazine and newspaper photography editors, the 25 selected photographers
will have their work exhibited in Los Angeles and New York. $6,000 in
awards. Entry fees are $20 for each photograph entered, and $30 for each
series of 2-5 images with a unifying theme.

Travel Photographer of the Year
2007 International Competition
Three categories for portfolios include. There are also categories for
One Shot, New Talent, and Young Travel Photographers. Overall winner of
the competition will receive a trip to Dharamsala in India and two days
with the Dalai Lama. Entry fee is $20 for each category entry.

National Geographic
2nd International Photography Contest
Single-image Categories include People, Landscapes, and Animals. There
is also a Photo Essay category for up to ten images. First prize winners
in each category will receive $1,000 in digital camera equipment. Only
online entries are eligible. There is no entry fee. Each photographer
can make no more then seven entries (six single entries and one essay
entry).

Hasselblad
Masters Award 2008
Along with making some of the most advanced high-end cameras on the market,
Hasselblad also hosts the distinguished Masters Award every year. The
competition is not exclusive to world-famous lifers in photography, or
Hasselblad users: newcomers with promise, or medium-format analog shooters
are welcome to enter. An important guideline requires that entrants take
at least 51% of their income from photography.
